Home for 'Wayward' Women to be adaptively reused

The former Ingleside Home at 70 Harvard Place will be converted into 24 market-rate apartments.  kta preservation specialists listed the building on the National Register of Historic Places, and is assisting Sinatra and Company Real Estate in order to utilize federal and state historic tax credits to finance the project.  kta uncovered a fascinating history of the building, wherein it once operated as an institution that provided refuge, guidance and medical services to pregnant, unmarried young women, victims of domestic violence and/or those struggling with substance abuse since the late nineteenth century.
